The greatest feature is the crepe on both sides of the paper, produced by the maker's own papermaking technique.
Setting the crepe to a well balanced height keeps a sufficient air layer between the filter and the dripper, giving a smooth water flow. The result is a clear cup without muddiness.
A filter paper approved for use in JHDC (Japan Hand Drip Championship), of a quality that professionals rely on. (Only the white version is JHDC approved.)
The body uses abaca (Manila hemp). Blending abaca pulp, whose fibers are fine yet supple and strong, into the paper produces a filter with excellent liquid permeability.
Abaca absorbs carbon dioxide well and gives off no harmful substances even when the fibers are burned. It is highly biodegradable and easy on the environment.
